Official Rules
   
  NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THIS SWEEPSTAKES.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING.
     
  1. How To Enter:  The NBC Universal, Inc. The Office Five Times a Week Sweepstakes(the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00:00 a.m. PT on August 31, 2009 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on September 25, 2009 (the “Sweepstakes Entry Period”).  All times in the Sweepstakes refer to Pacific Time (“PT”).  To enter the Sweepstakes, log on to www.theofficefivetimesaweek.com (the "Sweepstakes Entry Website").  After logging on to the Sweepstakes Entry Website, follow the on-screen instructions to complete The Office Application (the “Application”). No purchase is necessary to enter the Sweepstakes. In completing the Application, you will be required to provide your name, age (birth date and year of birth), daytime telephone number, e-mail address, and street address (including city, state, and Zip Code).  After completing your Application, send it by clicking on the “Click to Submit” button/icon on the Application page of the Sweepstakes Entry Website.  All entries and related correspondence become the property of NBC Universal, Inc. ("Sponsor") and its Promotional Partners and will not be acknowledged.  Entries must be received before September 25, 2009 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT to be eligible for the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) entry per person and per e-mail address PER DAY during the Sweepstakes Entry Period.  Additional entries received from any person or e-mail address beyond this limit will be disqualified, as will all incomplete entries and all entries not received within the Sweepstakes Entry Period. 
     
  2. Eligibility:  From the official time and date of the start of the Sweepstakes Period through the final date of prize fulfillment, you must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent U.S. resident residing in the 48 contiguous United States or the District of Columbia.  You must also be 18 years of age or older as of the official time and date of the start of the Sweepstakes Entry Period.  Sweepstakes is void in Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Military installations in foreign countries, and all other U.S. territories and possessions, and where restricted or prohibited by law.  The Sweepstakes, and any website pages and advertisements relating thereto, is intended for viewing only within the United States.  United States law governs this Sweepstakes.  Officers, directors, and employees of Sponsor and Impact Marketing & Promotions (the “Sweepstakes Administrator”), their advertising and promotion agencies, and any other entities participating in the design, promotion, marketing, administration or fulfillment of this Sweepstakes, as well as each of their parent corporations, subsidiaries and affiliated companies (collectively, "Sweepstakes Entities"), and their immediate families (defined as spouse, mother, father, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, grandparents and in-laws, regardless of where they live) and members of their households (whether or not related), are ineligible to participate in or win this Sweepstakes.

Conditions of Participation/Entrant Releases:  Entries made by any mass duplication, automatic, robotic, or programmed method, or through any sweepstakes entry, notification or related service, or in any manner not in compliance with the requirements of these Official Rules are invalid and will be disqualified.  Entries that are lost, incomplete, late, inaccurate, garbled, unintelligible, and/or damaged for any reason are void and will not be accepted.  By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements and to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.  Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Entrant unconditionally assigns and transfers to Sponsor all rights, title, interest, and claims that (s)he now has, or may in the future have, to his/her entry.  Sponsor and/or its Promotional Partners have the right to use, assign or dispose of such entries however they deem to be appropriate without the notification, permission, or approval of, or compensation to, entrants or any third party(s). Sponsor, Sponsor’s Promotional Partners, and any telephone network, cable television, ISPs or other service providers, and their respective parent, affiliated companies, employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and attorneys are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunction, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failure of any telephone network, computer equipment, or software (including, without limitation, any damage to entrant's or any other person's computer hardware or software resulting from the participation in the Sweepstakes or access to or downloading of materials from the Sweepstakes Entry Website), for the inability to access any online service or the Sweepstakes Entry Website, or any other error or malfunction.

Unless prohibited by law, entry into this Sweepstakes and/or acceptance of the Grand Prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and its Promotional Partners to use, without additional compensation, notification, permission, or approval, worldwide and in perpetuity in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, for promotional publicity and public relations associated with the Sweepstakes including without limitation, online (including, without limitation, posting on a website(s)) the Winner’s/participants’ names, photos, likenesses, biographical information, statements, voices and addresses (city and state). IN NO EVENT WILL THE SPONSOR OR ANY OF ITS PROMOTIONAL PARTNERS BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES. BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, EACH ENTRANT AGREES FOR ENTRANT AND FOR ENTRANT’S HEIRS, EXECUTORS, AND ADMINISTRATORS TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS PROMOTIONAL PARTNERS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AND EMPLOYEES  FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, LOSSES, DAMAGES, RIGHTS, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY, OR RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE OR ANY PORTION THEREOF (INCLUDING ANY TRAVEL RELATED THERETO) AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, AS WELL AS CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY.  ENTRANTS FURTHER AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND TO WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO CLAIM ANY AMBIGUITY OR ERROR THEREIN OR IN THE SWEEPSTAKES ITSELF, AND TO BE BOUND BY ALL DECISIONS OF THE SPONSOR, WHICH ARE BINDING AND FINAL. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE CONDITIONS MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES AT SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION.

     
  4. Determination of Winner:  The Grand Prize Winner will be randomly selected by the Sweepstakes Administrator on or about September 28, 2009 from among all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period.  Potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified on or about September 28, 2009 by telephone, e-mail, and/or mail, and will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and, except where prohibited by law, a Liability and Publicity Release within 14 days of such notification. 
     
  5. Prize: One (1) Grand Prize: $5,000.00. All details of prize will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.  No transfer, or other substitution of prizes allowed except that Sponsor reserves the right, in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, to substitute a prize or prize component of comparable or greater value.  Allow 4-6 weeks, after Sweepstakes Administrator receives completed Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release, and a Tax Acceptance Form ("Affidavit/Release"), for delivery of prize to the address provided in the Application.  Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes once in winner's possession. Grand Prize Winner will receive an IRS Form W-9 and a Form 1099 from Sweepstakes Administrator reflecting the final actual value of the Grand Prize.  Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize (“ARV”): $5,000.00.  If prize is unclaimed within a reasonable time after notification from Sponsor, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, it will be forfeited, and time permitting, an alternate Grand Prize Winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
     
  6. Reservation of Rights; Limitation of Liability:  Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify this Sweepstakes, or any element thereof (including, without limitation, these Official Rules), without notice in any manner and for any reason (including, without limitation, as a result of computer virus(es), bugs, tampering, or technical failures of any kind, or for any unanticipated occurrence that is not fully addressed in these Official Rules).  If the Sweepstakes is cancelled or terminated, notification will be posted on the Sweepstakes Entry Website.  In the event of cancellation, modification, or suspension, Sponsor reserves the right to select Grand Prize Winner in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the time of the event warranting such cancellation, modification, or suspension.  In the event of a dispute, an e-mail entry will be deemed to have been made by the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry.  “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person to whom the e-mail address is assigned by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.  A potential Winner may be required to provide proof to Sponsor and/or its agents that he or she is the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address associated with the potential winning entry. In the event that an individual attempts: (1) to deliberately damage the Sweepstakes Entry Website or any other website owned or operated by Sponsor, any of its Promotional Partners, or any of their parent companies, affiliates or subsidiaries; or (2) to undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor, in addition to disqualifying such person from participating in this Sweepstakes, reserves the right to seek damages and all other available remedies (whether at law or in equity) against him/her.  If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed to be severed from these Official Rules and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. The failure of the Sponsor or promotional partner to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside the control of either (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations) or other force majeure event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules.  Sponsor may prohibit any entrant or potential entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes, if such entrant or potential entrant shows a disregard for these Official Rules; acts with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other entrant, Sponsor, or Sponsor’s agents or representatives; or behaves in any other disruptive manner (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion).
     
  7. Disputes: The Sweepstakes is governed by, and will be construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, and the forum and venue for any dispute shall be in New York, New York. If THE controversy or claim is not otherwise resolved through direct discussions or mediation, it shall THEN be resolved by FINAL AND binding arbitration administered by JUDICIAL ARBITRATION AND MEDIATION SERVICES, INC., in accordance with its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures or subsequent versions thereof (“JAMS Rules”).  The JAMS Rules for selection of an arbitrator shall be followed, except that the arbitrator shall be experienced and licensed to practice law in new york.  All proceedings brought pursuant to this paragraph will be conducted in the County of new york.  THE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL DAMAGES, AND IN NO EVENT SHALL ANY PARTY BE ENTITLED TO RECOVER PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES OR OTHER SUCH RELATED COSTS OF BRINGING A CLAIM, OR TO RESCIND THIS AGREEMENT OR SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR ANY OTHER EQUITABLE RELIEF.

  9. Sweepstakes Administrator: The Administrator of this Sweepstakes is Impact Marketing & Promotions, 19236 Cammie Lane, Tarzana, CA 91356.
     
  10. Prize Winner List Requests: For a copy of the Official Rules or for a list of the names of prize winners, log onto www.theofficefivetimesaweek.com.  Winners list becomes available after completion of Sweepstakes.  ANY MAIL-IN REQUESTS SUBMITTED WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DESTROYED WITHOUT OPENING.
